The Fruit Machine

Our free Pride Issue is back. The Fruit Machine was a series of pseudoscientific tests developed in 1960's as part of a systematic attempt to root out queers from Canadian public service. Contrasting this dark chapter in Canadian history, this issue offers a window into some of the queer and trans icons who fought to change Canadian history for the better, and continue to advance 2SLGBTQI+ rights today. Our pride issues maintain the spirit of DYI zine making, emblematic of early pride organizing. This year, anyone can print the template and build their pride pocketbook anywhere.
