Here, queer literature is not limited to explicitly queer content, but rather works created by LGBTQ2SIA+ people. Individuals from underrepresented communities, especially women, trans people, and BIPOC artists and writers are encouraged to self-identify in their submission email.
3
Creators based in, or content featuring Toronto will be given extra consideration, but QT welcomes all pieces and artists with a connection to Canada.
A Note on Content
Spaces for queer expression often serve a double function for healing. With this in mind, QT operates on the ethos that none of our material features superfluous overtly traumatic material. For instance, please do not submit content that features sexual/any violence against women as a stand-in plot point to push forward a man’s story, without regard for how it affects her narrative.
No dick pics. As a team of volunteers we are tired of receiving unsolicited close ups of people's varying genitalia. If it's a tasteful painting or rendering, maybe. But no more photos.
Important Deadlines
Standout issue submissions that don’t quite fit the issue, may be offered a place in the Gallery.
